cREATIVE CREATURES


Let’s bring your imagination to life! In this fun, hands-on workshop, students will design their very own original creature and make it move using simple mechanical part in an automaton. We’ll explore how turning and spinning pieces can create magical movement and transform your idea into a moving sculpture. We’ll also build a tiny world inside a display container for your creature and if we have have time, a colorful 2D paper collage inspired by your creature’s story.

Fee (includes materials fee and tax): 23,500 yen (Regular students: 22,000 yen). All materials and tax included.
What to bring: Smock (or wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty), water bottle, lunch

CANCELLATION POLICY：
Students who withdraw their application from the program are eligible for a 50% refund up until 14 days prior to the camp. Cancellations made within 14 days of the camp start date are NONREFUNDABLE.

COLORS IN NATURE


A fun filled workshop with colors, patterns and textures inspired by nature! Let's look at color in the world all around us. Primary and secondary colors, cool and warm colors, and complementary colors. We will mix colors and experiment to see what happens! Projects include a relief artwork with nature motifs, a tunnel book, and natural dye inspired by artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Vincent Van Gogh.

※We will hold a small art show at the studio of the students' artworks on the last day. Please bring a big bag to take home your projects.
